A few weeks ago I wrote about the Keto diet snack food craze and the hype that followed.
That led to some amazing ideas for making tasty and nutritious snacks.
I wanted to share them with you today to remind you to eat a Keto snack every day.
If you haven’t already, go ahead and do that and keep making them until you feel like you need to!
If you have more time to spare, go for the big one, the Big Snack.
I love those.
I’m not talking about the Big Oven ones, but the Big Cheesecake-esque varieties.
The best part is that you can eat a snack every single day.
The best part about this, I found, is that it is easy to make.
There is no need to pre-mix your ingredients.
You just grab a cookie dough sheet, some water, a couple of tablespoons of almond milk and some nuts.
The ingredients are there, and they taste amazing.
They taste like chocolate or peanut butter and go on sooooooo well.
This is one of the best ways to get started.
The only thing you need is a sheet of cookie dough and a water bath.
Just soak it in a little bit of almond oil and mix it up with the water.
I like to use a little baking soda and use it to make a little swirl.
Mix that up and place a handful of almond bits and pieces in the center.
Then, dip a little spoonfuls of the batter in the batter.
You want to make the batter very smooth, so use your finger to make sure that the almond bits are all sticking together and the pieces don’t stick together.
Repeat this until you have a nice dough.
If you don’t have a sheet, I highly recommend that you buy one.
You can get them at your local store or online for a little less than $5.
The ingredients are simple.
I used almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans, peanut butter, cinnamon, baking powder, vanilla and salt.
Here is how you make the best Keto snacks: 1 cup of almonds: (I used 2 cups) 1 tablespoon almond milk: (I used almond milk, about 1/2 cup) 1 cup walnuts: 1 cup almonds, chopped: 1/4 cup almonds chopped: 1/8 cup cashews: 1 1/3 cup walnut halves: 1 tablespoon cinnamon: 1 teaspoon vanilla: 1 large egg: 2 tablespoons of butter: 1 ½ teaspoons salt 1 tablespoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt and pepper (optional) 2 tablespoons almond meal 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional (optional, but adds extra flavor) 3 tablespoons almond butter, optional The process is pretty simple.
Take the ingredients and add to the cookie dough.
Place the dough in the water bath and allow it to soak.
This is essential because if the batter is too wet, the almond pieces will stick together and you’ll end up with a sticky mess.
Place the sheet of dough on the baking sheet.
Mix together the almond milk with the almond water until the almond mixture is fully combined.
Use a fork to mix the almond ingredients together with the batter until you get a nice consistency.
Dip a spoonful of the almond batter into the almond mix.
Sprinkle with some of the cinnamon and the vanilla.
Then sprinkle with some salt and a bit of pepper.
The mixture should be smooth and have a crusty crust.
Add some of your favorite toppings and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
Don’t worry if it looks like a big mess, it will turn out really well.
It’ll be a little crunchy when it comes out, but that’s okay.
It’s so easy to eat this stuff and make it even better.
I would say that this is probably the best place to start if you want to get into the Kegel-type movements.
And if you don’ like making it a regular diet, there is still plenty of great stuff to do.
